چکیده

Multi-terminal HVDC projects are increasingly developed in recent years to enhance the flexibility of energy transmission. Differing from point-to-point systems, it is more challenging design multi-terminal system and ensure stable interoperability among converter especially when converters manufactured different vendors. Although impedance-based stability analysis allows for analyzing such systems based on black-box models, still difficult utilize those models identify root cause potential instability. To tackle this challenge, paper proposes a multi-level sensitivity approach using frequency-domain functions criterion. The proposed method differs classical state-space or transfer-function as purely impedance models. Case studies four-terminal carried out measurement PSCAD, through which most sensitive station can be identified. theory analyzed results finally validated by electromagnetic transient simulations.

investigation of single-user and multi-user detection methods in mc-cdma systems and comparison of their performances

Power Flow Solution on Multi-Terminal HVDC Systems: Supergrid Case

High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) systems offer distinct advantages for the integration of offshore wind farms to inland grid system. HVDC transmission system based on Voltage Source Converter (VSC) enables multi-terminal use HVDC for the integration of large-scale wind power in the North Sea. That network requires a special formulation for power flow analysis as opposed to the conventional me...

Control , Dynamics and Operation of Multi - terminal VSC - HVDC Transmission Systems

In recent years, there has been an increased development and deployment of renewable energy resources to meet the ever increasing electric power demand and to limit the use of fossil fuels. This has spurred offshore wind farm development, particularly in the North Sea, due to the vast offshore wind energy potential. Large scale wind farms in the North Sea pose grid integration challenges such a...

Multi-Terminal HVDC Networks - What is the Preferred Topology?

This paper investigates the influence of the DC network topology with respect to two important aspects: the steady-state losses and the transient fault currents. For this, the optimal power flow in a combined AC-DC Multi-Terminal HVDC cable system based on Voltage Source Converters and the development of prospective fault currents during a pole-toground fault is simulated. The results prove tha...
